Updates
conquistador574 — Wed, 01/05/2011 - 02:13
Hello all,
We're making a few minor changes to what we have been doing. We just had our fourth meeting and we're now in a position to move forward.
Meetings will begin with our normal presentations. If you have something to talk about or some new piece of software to show off, do it. This is a great way to contribute to the group and a great way to learn about new and old things. If you need ideas, I compiled a list of possible presentations that would be enjoyable to cover and learn about. You can email me for the list. (Click Read More)
3rd meeting went well.
conquistador574 — Mon, 12/20/2010 - 07:10
Thanks to those that came out! I hope to see more new faces. Got through the presentations, Jon showed off some of the network traffic analysis stuff he has been working on(live attacks from foreigners). Watched the new Jason Scott Documentary, Get Lamp, while cooking burgers and dogs. Jon and Zach sealed the night after everyone left with a viewing of the cult classic Hackers.
Next meeting will take place on January 2nd, see the Meetings page for more info.

Indiana Linux Fest
conquistador574 — Wed, 12/15/2010 - 05:57
A few guys from the Infonomicon crew are hosting the first Indiana Linux Fest. Our friends from BloomingLabs will be there setting up a "Hardware Hacking Village". The Fest will feature a DrupalCon, tons of famous speakers, LPI cert testing, and I heard that Randall Scwartz will be teaching classes on Perl. There is a ton more going on, you just have stay updated by visiting the web site. Maybe we can get a group to go down there and hang out. Let me know if you'd be interested, I'll be there either way...
Thanks

IRC
conquistador574 — Fri, 11/12/2010 - 22:02
I added a Mibbit widget on the IRC page. Connect to IRC automatically, connects to the Mibbit service(http), so no pesky firewall trouble.
We have good discussions almost every night.

2nd Meeting
conquistador574 — Mon, 11/08/2010 - 05:23
Thanks to everyone that came out to our second meeting. It was fun, we had some good discussion and food. We had some interesting conversations on memory architecture, assembly, stacks, queues, registers, all that good low level stuff! Showed off a few cool shortcuts and /proc goodness we've picked up here and there, covered the amazing Gnu Screen, which everyone should now be using.
A few ideas that have came up are creating a Linux cluster with some old machines.

Hack3rCon and update
conquistador574 — Mon, 10/25/2010 - 07:29
Hey guys,
I just arrived back from Hack3rcon. It was a lot of fun. I hung out with some of the BackTrack Linux developers and met a lot of really cool/famous(sec industry) people. I came first place in the Network King of the Hill competition. My prizes were: eee pc, "Black Hat Blues" novel, a few tshirts/swag, and a lifetime pass to Hack3rcon. It was a really good time and I learned a lot.
And now for a new dclinux.org update!
